COMPOSITION: Clear evidence of “birdseye” fragments and other Kentucky components with very long dark “Zware” filaments. We love the “nuttiness” these components give to the smoke and the very fine cut holds its moisture well. A first class component presentation.
TASTE: As far as we’re concerned, Original Drum remains unique. It is every bit as distinctive as we remember it. There is no doubt that it is top quality tobacco, but we find it a little too aromatic and likewise too powerful (not harsh mind you) for every day smoking in filtered tubes. It is ideal for hand rolling or in a pipe that we occasionally inhale and its remains wonderful for mixing with milder less aromatic cigarette tobacco blends.
